COVID-19 Secure Policy

We are keeping all our guests and us safe by keeping a safe social distance apart, washing hands, extra cleaning, some things at Hotel Peppers have to be changed like the buffet at breakfast is now behind the scenes and served to you and we cannot service your rooms daily but we can supply you with more tea coffee if needed. Payment will be taken 7 days before arrival to minimise contact.

The world is very different since the coronavirus pandemic and wanted to reassure you that you can have confidence when booking a stay with us.

The English Riviera is the perfect place to stay with clean air, open spaces, cafes, bars and restaurants have outdoor seating, and many outdoor activities you can do whist remaining socially distant.

We pride ourselves with our cleanliness and have a super clean environment. We have no staff just us Gary and Viv we are the only ones that will have contact with you, for cleaning rooms, and serving you at breakfast. All crockery, glass and cutlery will go into the dish washer. Our bedding is washed at a high temperature. We have been here at Hotel Peppers for sixteen years and have an AA 4 star guest accommodation rating with silver award.

Before you arrive

As per draft Government advice, please do not travel to us if you or anyone in your party is showing any of the common symptoms of coronavirus (fever, persistent cough, loss of taste or smell) we will re-arrange your stay for a future date. Your agreement that you will follow our temporary new procedures and extra measures whilst your stay with us is kindly requested. Until things are more back to normal. We will email each guest before there stay a copy of this document.

Arrival

Most guests arrive by car, we have parking for all our 10 rooms some parking is offsite and works on a first come first served basis. If guests are arriving by public transport we would remind you of social distancing and use masks, wipes and sanitiser.

Check in

We will ask all our guests for an approximate check in time and may move your check in time to avoid another guest arrival. If you arrive at our front door (which is glass) and see another guest at reception, please wait until they have moved. Hand sanitiser is available by the front door when entering the building. We will remain in the reception to give out keys that will be previously sanitised and on the desk. If you do not require help with your luggage, we will direct you to your room. If you require help with your luggage we will follow you to your room at safe distance and leave your bags outside your room, we will sanitise our hands immediately afterwards.

Corridors and stairways

If you see someone coming down the stairs please stand back whilst they pass, maintaining social distancing, for your convenience hand sanitiser is located on each floor we will be serving breakfast in the breakfast room and lounge to allow for social distancing.

Your Bedroom

A welcome letter on the bed will explain our room servicing policy and remind you of the COVID-19 secure policy. Each room will be sprayed and sanitised with antibacterial cleaner with our strict cleaning policy. All cushions and throws will have been removed to make cleaning and sanitising easier. Tea coffee are still available in your room, All items for replacement will be available but on request.

Breakfast

Our breakfast will be either served in the breakfast room or lounge, you will be allocated a table, Viv will be standing a safe social distance away and take your order for cereals yogurts and breakfasts and everything will be served from our kitchen. We will always adhere to the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Guest toilet on the first landing

This toilet will be unavailable.

Cleaning

We’ve always had extremely high cleanliness standards and use approved cleaning products, we regret that we cannot clean your room daily if you are staying with us four nights or less. We will however provide you with tea coffee milk biscuits bin bags and toilet rolls, we ask you to empty your own bin and place outside the room for collection. When we clean rooms we will be wearing masks and gloves these will be changed for each room and also the cleaning clothes, our products as it dries leaves no chemical residue and is not harmful to the guest. Where possible a minimum gap of 24 hours will be left before we clean a vacated room.

Other Business

On hearing the fire alarm evacuate as normal and keep a safe social distance away in the car park.

The honesty bar is not available at this time, but if you require a drink we will be happy to serve you. Please use the sanitiser before pressing the reception bell. Should we find coronavirus on site, or one of us as owners are tested positive or need to self-isolate, we may need to cancel your booking at short notice. Where this happens, a full refund or alternate dates will be offered. Whilst out and about stay safe with social distancing.
